Best of the Fest
Of course, shrimp is the favored festival fare, but there are all kinds of local restaurants that set up booths at the festival. Look for the “Best of the Fest” sign for restaurants and food vendors that have won awards from local judges.
Local Shopping and Artisans
Find fine art, craftsman from all over the country, local retailers, and all kinds of creative minds at the festival booths. There is truly something for everyone on your list!
There is a designated area for kids that includes arts, crafts, rides and other activities. There are usually rock climbing walls, bounce houses, games and much more to keep the little ones having fun all day!
Sand Sculpture Competition
Ready to show off your sand-building abilities? Teams of 4 can compete in various categories, including a both a kids and family category.
5K and 10K Fun Runs
If you want to run off those extra calories from the festival – join one of the festival’s oldest traditions, the 5K/10K Fun Run. This race meanders through the beautiful, shade-filled trails of the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail in Gulf State Park.
