What’s New for 2022

If you’re coming back to Orange Beach or Gulf Shores soon, you are sure to notice some changes. Here are five new things you may see if you vacation with us in 2022!

What's new for 2022

A New Boat Ramp in Orange Beach

Orange Beach is expected to complete a huge new boat launch on the north side of the canal, near The Wharf. It will have 6 launches and 150 trailer parking spaces. It is projected to be completed by May of 2022.

Upgraded Airport in Gulf Shores

Gulf Shores is getting ready to host commercial flights in the airport. They just completed a new 6 million-dollar control tower. And terminals will be next. There’s a new name too, the Gulf Shores International Airport.

Indoor Water Park at OWA

Get ready to play in water year-round at OWA’s new indoor/outdoor water park. With a dozen slides, a lazy river, and a splash park inside and a wave pool just outside, there will be plenty to enjoy. The park is slated to open in 2022.

New Restaurants

Check out these two new spots that already have lots of great online reviews! Lauria’s By the Beach is an Italian beach bar, specializing in charcuterie boards and light Italian fare along with great wine and cocktails. Or, in the mood for some great tasting tacos? Check out Peace Love & Tacos in Gulf Shores.

New Shops at The Wharf

There are some fun new places to check out at The Wharf. Get a dozen or 100 of most buttery oysters you have ever tried. Plus, grab other seafood and souvenirs, at the Murder Point Oysters storefront. There’s also The Spice and Tea Exchange, Good Dog Boutique, Coco Louie, MA Beauty Lounge and Joanna A Boutique
