Instagram is known for beautifully composed photos that tell a great story. Here are some ideas of shots that you can take to capture and share your favorite moments!
Our favorite spots In Alabama:
The Yard Milkshake Bar – This is the milkshake that Instagram built. Now a national chain, it started right here in Gulf Shores. You can get your Insta-worthy “Brookie Batter” or “Cereal Killer” and snap to your hearts’ content. Just be ready to share – these shakes are huge!
One of the iconic beach-side restaurants – Nestle up on a lawn chair near Perdido Pass with some great eats and great shots at The Gulf in Orange Beach. Party hard and Hang ten in front of the big hand at The Hangout in Gulf Shores. Or, pose in front of some wild decor at Tacky Jacks.
The Lodge at Gulf State Park – Whether you go to eat, bike, stroll or stay, there are some beautiful places for photos at the new Lodge in Gulf Shores.
Toes in the Sand – It may be a pretty common photo on the internet, but if you are going to do a toes-in-the-sand photo, then the beautiful white sand on Alabama Gulf Coast is the place to do it.
Our favorite spots on the 30A:
Anywhere on a bike – The beaches of 30A were basically made for great Instagram photos. And if you’re going to do it right, be sure you take a shot of riding a bike in one of the iconic towns like Rosemary Beach, Seaside or Alys. For some bike rental ideas, here’s a previous blog about that.
Black Bear Bread Co. – This beautiful bakery and coffee shop has the perfect background and the best food for a great Instagram photo. (They taste good too.) Check out their locations in Seaside or Grayton Beach.
At the Dune Lakes – These are unique geographical features that only exist in a few places in the world. You can explore these lakes at many of the Florida state parks near 30A, including Grayton Beach State Park and Topsail Hill Preserve.
