Freedom Fest 2021 – Orange Beach

There is so much to enjoy when visiting the Alabama Gulf Coast this fall, including a brand new festival at The Wharf: Freedom Fest

Freedom Fest 2021 Orange Beach

The Shrimp Fest for 2021 was cancelled due to the pandemic. We know that many of our guests were looking forward to a great festival. And, many of the artists and musicians that were scheduled for that weekend were looking for a place to go instead.

The First Annual Freedom Fest

So, we are happy to announce that the Mayor of Orange Beach encouraged the city to step up and create an event in its place. So, Freedom Fest will be a new event at the Wharf to stand in the Shrimp Festival’s place this year. The event will feature art vendors, local music and great food.

Mayor Kennon stated that,

“People have the right to choose what they wish to attend and decide the risks they are willing to take. Especially for an outdoor event like this one.”

The current vendor capacity is for 100 vendors and it will take place on the west end of The Wharf. Any artists who were booked for Shrimp Fest will have priority in re-booking for this event. Also, that evening, Brooks & Dunn will perform live at The Wharf Amphitheater. Here is a link if you are interested in purchasing tickets.

Even if you do not attend a large-scale event like Freedom Fest, Fall is still a wonderful time to vacation on the Alabama Gulf Coast! The weather is warm enough for water activities and relaxing on the beach. And, the crowds are smaller than in the summer and spring break months!
