Magic Christmas Lights
Bellingrath Gardens and Home is celebrating the 22nd year of Magic Christmas in Lights in 2017! In this Gulf Coast holiday tradition, guests stroll through a dazzling light display that features more than 1,100 set pieces, 3 million lights and 15 scenes throughout the 65-acre Garden estate. Also, the Bellingrath Home is decorated in its holiday finery and enhanced with beautiful poinsettias.
Lighted Boat Parade
The Annual Boat Parade occurs at the beginning of December. It’s a beautiful parade of boats that travel east down the Intracoastal Canal, passing The Wharf, rounding Bear Point and heading south toward Ono Island where it makes a westward turn heading toward Perdido Pass. It’s a family affair with plenty of viewing spots along the way. The fun parade is sure to become an annual tradition!
Ice Skating at The Wharf
Enjoy the feel of Winter on the Gulf Coast! Ice skate on a date or as a family. Located in the front parking lot next to Fire Station at The Wharf. The temporary ice skating rink is open Monday through Friday in the afternoons and starting at 10am on Saturdays and Sundays until January 14th.
Family New Year’s Eve Noon at Lulu’s
LuLu’s Annual Noon Year’s Eve party is pure fun for the whole family. Starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31, join them for a day of fun as they drop the beach ball at their annual Noon Year’s celebration! Noon Year’s is a free family event for all ages to enjoy.
Party at the Grand Hotel
Ring in the New Year in Grand style on December 31, from 7:00 pm – 12:30 am. It will be an elegant evening of reception-style dinner buffet and dancing featuring live entertainment by Mr. Big and the Rhythm Sisters, and Dave Ellis Duo. The party continues late into the night with light food, party favors, two drink vouchers, a balloon drop, and a champagne toast at midnight. Held in the Grand Ballroom. Cash bar available. Tickets purchased in advance.
