Concerts at the Wharf
Southern rock and country music are filling the air this summer, and we are here for it. The Wharf Amphitheater is hosting several big acts, including The Red Clay Strays, Tyler Childers, and Little Big Town. Check out all events at this link.
Flora-Bama Parties
The legendary lounge on the beach holds several famous events each summer, including their own Fishing Rodeo, a Fourth of July party, a Freedom Fun-Run, and some Bikini Contests. Of course, any given weekend, you will probably find fine live music and lots of action to write home about. Here’s info about big annual and daily events.
The Corn Festival
The weekend of Father’s Day, you can celebrate the flavors of summer at the Coastal Alabama Farmers’ and Fishermens’ Market. Purchase summer produce, participate in kids activities, and compete in a corn-eating contest. You can also enjoy the Corny Dad Cook-off, featuring dads/chefs creative corn recipes, where you sample dishes and pick your favorite!
Shark Fest
Join Gulf State Park and leading shark researchers from Mississippi State University Marine Science program for some fascinating encounters with sharks. Interact with preserved sharks, bones, teeth, live marine species. And attend live talks, activities and dissections. Here’s the Facebook event page for more info!
Fourth of July
You will find Fourth of July parties, events and fireworks all over town on the 3rd, 4th and 5th this year. The largest fireworks show in the area is hosted by the city of Gulf Shores, the display originates from the Gulf State Park Educational and Fishing Pier.
